Lazy

Lazy

I'm a lazy lad,

In lazy land,

Lazier than lazy Lucy,

But, not lazier than those on lazy hill.

This poem is a critique of the elitist. 'Lazy hill' is a metaphor for those who seem to be above the common people thus being on a hill. By comparing them to lazy Lucy, the narrator depicts that Narraor is extremely lazy but by not being lazier than those on the hill, it is a subtle critique of those who just sit in powerful positions, exploit their power, and make other people do their job.
